He was preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Imogene Brooks. He is survived by wife JoAnn, son, Joseph (Kelly) Brooks of Jasper; daughter, Crystal Brooks of Maryville; grandson, Gaige Swanner; granddaughter, Autumn Brooks, and soon to be Ashlin Brooks; sister, Bernice (Don) Harvey, brothers, Steve Brooks, Charlie (Barbara) Brooks, Bill (Sherry) Brooks; brother and sister in laws, Leroy and Geraldean Dunlap, Troy and Dora Mae Richardson, Don and Betty King, Jerry and Edna Payne; several nieces nephews, aunts, uncles, and one special Aunt Nadine and his two dogs, Scooter and Bitsi. Graveside and interment service will be held 2:00 PM Monday December 7, 2009 at Cloyd’s Creek Cemetery.
