Paul David Boyd, age 61, of Maryville, passed away Saturday Sept. 26, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital. David was retired from TVA. He served as President, Vice President, and on the executive board of labor local 818. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of New Providence Lodge # 128. David was also a member of New Providence Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Paul and Mary Edith Boyd; and sister, Margaret Ann Joines of Maryville. He is survived by his wife, Paulette; son, John and daughter in law, Christine of Lawrenceville Georgia; daughter, Melanie and son in law, Sergeant First Class Bryan Tranka of Clarksville, Tennessee; Beloved grandchildren, Kaylee Janet Boyd, Willow Adeline Tranka, and Griffin Paul Tranka. Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 PM Monday, September 28, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, with Rev. Ronald Blair and Rev. Alex Smith officiating. The interment will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
