Mr. Frank H. Poteete, age 81, of Del Rio, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital in Greeneville. Mr. Poteete was a United States Army veteran. He was a retired employee of Norfolk Southern Railroad and a member of Wolf Creek Church where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his wife Addie Ruth Poteete and his daughters Joyce Ann Ellison and Regina Gail Shelton. He is survived by his daughter Kathy Jones of Del Rio, his son Mike Poteete of Del Rio, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Mary Owens, of Rutledge, TN. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Caney Caldwell and Pastor Dale Maloy officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00—8:00 p.m. at Costner-Maloy prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the Rogers Family Cemetery for the 10:00 a.m. interment. Military Honors will be provided by the Tennessee Army National Guard.
