Mary Joan Ottinger Combs obituary

Samuel Paul (Patsy) Combs, 73, of Rt. 3, Rutledge, passed away at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Thursday, October 19, 2000.
He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War.
Mr. Combs was preceded in death by his parents, Armond Victor and Harriet Adulsia Combs; brothers, Emmert and A.V. Jr.; and sister, Loraine Clapp.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Ottinger Combs; sons and daughters-in-law, Herschel “Herky” and Debbie Combs of Rutledge and Samuel and Sharon Combs, also of Rutledge; one granddaughter, Mandi Lindsey and one grandson, Travis Combs; one step-grandson, Brett Kincer; sister, Mary V. Hodge; and brother, T. Ralph Combs of Rutledge; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Maness and Rev. Gary Riggs officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery.
