U.S. Veteran William “Bill” Porter Yearout, age 84, of Maryville, departed this life Tuesday, November 29, 2011, to be with his Master. Bill was of Baptist faith and a life-long member of Six Mile Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ and church family. William was a kind person, loving Husband, step-father, Grandad, and Great-Grandad. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Lou Retta Yearout; first wife, Rosa Lee Yearout; sister, Delsa Yearout Brown; brothers, Raymond and James Yearout; brothers-in-law, Hershell Merriman and Jack Brown; and nephew Dwight Yearout. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Mary Lois Yearout; step-daughters, Janet Morton and husband Jerry and Pamela Tilley and husband Eddy; step-grandsons, Adam Tilley and wife Melissa and Rex Tilley and wife Amanda; step-great-grandsons, Hunter, Chase, and Trace Tilley; step-great-granddaughter, Shelby Tilley; brother, Herbert Jerome Yearout; sisters, Derotha Garner and husband Raymond, Betty Jo Merriman, and Polly Yearout; sister-in-law, Dorothy Yearout; special friends, Max Sharp, Bill White, and Wayne Yearout; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special Thank You to the caring nurses and staff of Blount Memorial Transitional Care Facility. Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Bill White and Rev. Charles Murell officiating. Friends and family will gather 2:00 PM Friday at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, (865)982-6041, www.millerfuneralhome.org.
