CHARLIE B. FAIN, age 81, of Dandridge, TN passed away suddenly Sunday evening, November 23, 2008. He was a member of the Seahorns Chapel United Methodist Church. Charlie was a retired brick mason and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Preceded in death by wife, Mary Evelyn Edmonds Fain; parents, George W. and Cenia Fain; brothers, Walter, John, Oscar and Frank Fain; sister, Daisy Fain. He is survived by his wife, Wanda S. Fain; step-son, Clyde (Linda) Scarlett; nine grandchildren; brothers, Ray, Arvel (Betty), Clyde (Carolyn), Fred (Malita) Fain; sisters, Mae Huskey, Ruth (Walter) Byard, Hazel (Frank) Jones; special nephew, Billy "Red" (Tammy) Layman; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
