NOE, EDWARD J. - age 74 of Anchorage, Alaska, died on Oct. 25, 2005, at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Ed was born Oct. 14, 1931 in Powder Springs, Tenn. to Edward and Dorothy Noe. He spent his early years in Tennessee, then traveled around the world during his 22 years of Air Force and Army service. Ed later retired as a military veteran before deciding to settle down in Anchorage, Alaska. During his travels he met his wife, Kil Chun and they raised 3 sons. Ed also worked 14 years in the Telecommunications Field for Alascom. Ed enjoyed fishing and staying active. Even though he lived in Alaska, he still avidly followed Tennessee sports teams, especially the Tenn. Titans and Volunteers. He was preceded in death by: parents, Ed and Dorothy Noe sisters, Beulah Noe, Bessie Beeler, and Lennie Sharp and brothers, Robert and Lonnie Noe. Ed is survived by: his wife, Kil Chun Noe sons, James, Robert, and William Noe grandchildren, Siena, Rachel, Grace, Madeline, and Sela Noe sisters, Pearl Welch and Mattie Lee Stone brothers, Verlin and Lester Noe daughters-in-law, Margita Noe and Kim Carpenter sisters-in-law, Irene and Nell Noe brother-in-law William Sharp and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7 p.m. Friday at Bridges Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Lord officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Mary's Chapel Cemetery for interment at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make a donation to the American Heart Association. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike (523-4999).
