CROSSNORE - Clarence James Hise, 64, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000.
He was the son of the late Glen and Nellie Grindstaff Hise and was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Hise, and two brothers, Charles and Howard Hise. He was a member of Pisgah Methodist Church and was retired from the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Whaley Hise of Crossnore daughters, Christy Dellinger of Ft. Mill, S.C., and Deborah and Cheryl Hise, both of Ohio stepson, Robert Dellinger of Crossnore brothers, Billy Ray, Curtis and Mike Hise, all of Spruce Pine, Bobby Hise of Bakersville, Johnny Hise of Fletcher and Glen Hise Jr. of Swansboro several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. The Rev. Hugh Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Betty Hise.
