Reverend Charles D. Parks, age 86, of Seymour, TN and formerly of Jefferson City, TN, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2003 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of the Seymour Church of God, a veteran of World War II, and was retired from US Steel. He pastored many churches in the East Tennessee area. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel parks and son, Billy Nelson. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Jane and Frank Holiway of Seymour; grandchildren, Frank Holiway and wife Debbie, Patsy Ogle and husband Jimmy, Dewayne Holiway and wife Joy, Scott nelson and wife Kim, Billy Nelson; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2003 from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Blazer officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2003 at Jefferso Memorial Gardens for an 11 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
