West, Juanita (“Boots”) Harris-78 of Seymour, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend departed this life on August 31, 2010 surrounded by her family at UT Medical Center. She is now reunited with her husband of 56 years, William (Bill) Reece West, Sr., parents John Henry and Clara Alice Meadors Harris, brothers Frank and T.T. Harris, and sons-in-law, George G. Boling and Charles “Eddie” McCroskey. Those left to cherish her life and honor her legacy include sons William R. (Bill) West, Jr. and wife Kaye, George H. West and wife Lea. Daughters Margaret “Peggy” McCroskey, Patty Boling and Pamela Carter. Grandchildren William R. (Will) West III, Aaron West, Andrea West Trent and husband Adam, Rebecca McCroskey Lewis and husband John, Kelli McCroskey Gibson and husband Scott, Cody G. Boiling, Jessica Carter, Jared Reece Carter and great-grandchildren Sophia Trent, Daniel and Jacob Gibson and Wheeler Lewis. Devoted sister Linda Harris Norante of Knoxville and Mary Harris Klink and husband Rudy of Eden Prairie, MN. Brothers Norman E. Harris, Sr. and wife Sheron of Fayetteville, NC, James Harris and wife Rose Marie of Hackensack, NJ, Cecil “Red” Harris and wife Patty of Boonton, NJ, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and loyal neighbors Walter (Dub) and Faye Browning. She was born in Marfrance, WV on July 2, 1932 and was retired from Carrier Corporation at the Forks of the River Industrial Park in Knoxville. She was a member of New Hopewell Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 3, 2010 at New Hopewell Baptist Church, 943 Kimberlin Heights Road, Knoxville from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow with Reverend Joel Tilson officiating. Graveside services will be on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland South Memorial Park, 9010 E. Simpson Road, Knoxville, TN 37920. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. The family would like to thank “angels” Joyce and Mary Katherine, and others of the yellow wing at Brakebill Nursing Home, the staff of 9 East at UT Medical Center and family friend and nurse Sarah Moore for their professional and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to New Hopewell Baptist Church Food Pantry Fund, 943 Kimberlin Heights Road, Knoxville, TN 37920. Guest book may be signed at www.highlandmemorialparks.com.
