He joined the Army at age 16 and served three years in Italy in WWII. Later he was called back and served two years in the Korean War. Retired pastor of the Church of God Mountain Assembly. Preceded in death by: wife, Billie Ann Gage Price; parents, Iassac and Bessie Price; brothers, John and Burl Price; sister, Ersabelle Messamore. Survivors: daughter, Linda Price Lawley and husband James Ray Lawley, Jr.; granddaughter, Megan O. Carney and husband Jasen S. Carney; great granddaughter, Summer Eliza Carney, all of Heiskell, TN; step great granddaughters, Elisha S. and India R. Carney; brother, Roe H. Price of Philadelphia, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral 1pm Friday February 16, 2007 in the Kyker Chapel with the Rev. Delbert Humphreys officiating. Burial to follow in Midway Church of God Cemetery.
