She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Franklin Adams; parents, Jack and Mae Shropshire James; sister, Pauline Myers; brother, J. B. James; and granddaughters, Carol Bernice Adams, Delana Nichole Adams and Frankie Lynn James. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Fred Pace, Mary and Tommy Sutton all of Newport; sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Lois Adams, of Newport, Roger and Perri Adams of Nashville; son, Ralph Adams of Newport; grandchildren, Brent and Candi Adams , Kristi and Herbie Frazier all of Newport, Rodney and Candie Adams of Nashville, Tenn., and Michael Adams of Raleigh, NC, Wendy and Joe Owensby of Newport, Crystal Pace of Morristown and Tarra Greene of Nashville; great grandchildren, Isaac and Mecheelie Adams and Allison Frazier of Newport and Colby Ray Adams of Nashville. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Jim Gregg of Parrottsville; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Rita James of Bulls Gap; and sister-in-law, Ella Ruth James; and several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Monday, September 17, 2007 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, Jimmy Daniels officiating. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 18, 2007 in Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
