(September 11, 1940 - December 7, 2006) U.S. Veteran Hoyle Sherman Orr, age 66, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, December 07, 2006, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sherman and Lillie Orr; brothers, Olen Orr and Glenn Orr; and sisters, Leona Houston, Minnie Tulloch, and Roberta Helton. He is survived by his brothers, Mack Orr of Garden City, MI and Tommy and wife Mary Ruth Orr of Maryville; sister, Bobbie Clark of Maryville; and several nieces, nephews, and good friends. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel. Family and friends will meet immediately following the funeral at Bakers Creek Cemetery for the interment. Because of his love for children, the family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale St., Memphis, TN 38105, (901) 495-3300.
