WOODS, JAMES H. - age 71 of Clinton passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at his residence. He attended Deep Springs Baptist Church. He retired from Alstom Powers after 40 years of service and was a U. S. Army veteran. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling and all the friends that he had made since retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvlee & Dorothy Woods. Survivors: wife: Lana Wallace Woods of Clinton; Son: James H. Woods, Jr. of Knoxville; step-children: Heather & Allen Giles of Heiskell David & Teresa Harmon of Heiskell; step-grandchildren: Kelsey, Katie & Max Giles, Emily & Molly Harmon; brother: Ronnie Woods & wife Linda of Alabama; sisters-in-law: Debbie & Gary Beets & daughter Olivia of Clinton, Terrie Cox & daughter Macy of Heiskell; friends: Chuck Laymon, Howard & Joie Jennings, Kenny Webber. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 6 - 8 pm at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral following at 8:00 pm with Rev. Allen Giles officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 26th at 1:00 pm at Sartin Cemetery with full military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
