Everett G. Stinson, 89, of Cleveland, OH, died peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the home of his daughter in Westfield Center, OH following a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 27, 1925 in Parrottsville, TN to the late George Washington and Martha Lou (Pack) Stinson and married Pearl Reba “Betty Turner who preceded him in death on Oct. 3, 1995. He retired from General Motors and had made his home in Cleveland since 1953.
Surviving are daughters, Dorothy Lou Frantz of Sharon Center, OH, Sandra (Bruce) Heishman of Westfield Center, OH and Brenda Jean Warden of Land O’ Lakes, FL; 6 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; dear sister and best friend, Unavee Fowler of Parrottsville and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife and brothers and sisters, Lena “Betty” Askew, Della Carter, Ella Pack, Lonnie Stinson, Maude Ottinger, Alice Smith, Bonnie Gregg, Minnie Stephenson, Johnnie Stinson and George Ray “Flea) Stinson.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Thursday, May 14, 2015 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ned Ramsey officiating. Burial will be held 1:30 pm Friday, May 15, 2015 in Harned Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday prior to the funeral service.
