Ebid Earl Ford, born December 4th, 1931 of Hartford, TN, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at his home after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Ebid Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Eula Ford; brothers, Ralph and C.B. Ford; and sister, Winnie Williams. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Shirley Hall Ford; sisters, Mary-Ellen Baxter and Leaston Frisbee; daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie and husband Gary Baxter of Cosby, Gina and husband Willie Pratt of Hartford; grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Ron Collins of Knoxville, Christy and husband Johnny Paul Wilson of Knoxville, and Cory Pratt of Hartford; great-grandchildren Wyatt and Nick Collins, and Tristien and Macy Wilson. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and a host of special friends. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 pm -8:00 pm Monday, January 16, 2012 at Manes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ransom Hall, Rev. Jim Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Ford Cemetery, Hartford, TN.
