She was a member of Greenway Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father, Ben Franklin Mathews. Survivors: husband of 24 years, Wayne J. Banks; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Lisa Whitehead; stepdaughters, Paula Clabo and Lee Ann Davis; step-son, Anthony Banks; grandson, Cody Paul; mother, Margaret Mathews; father-in-law, Junior Banks, all of Knoxville; and favorite pets, Tiger and Giddyup. A funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in Stevens Chapel with Rev. Claude E. Johnson officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home to go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service and interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at N. Broadway.
