ROGERS - age 88, of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2003, at Williamsburg Villas. Longtime member of Stock Creek Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Joe and Tish Rogers loving husband, Vernon G. French sister, Maude Lusk brothers, Fred and John Rogers. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Ruby French daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Harry Henderlight grandsons and wives, Jay and Patty Henderlight of Kingston Springs, Tenn., Jeff and Diana Henderlight of Maryville, Tenn. granddaughters and husbands, Lisa and Errol Sherrod, Lorie and Daryl Chandler of Knoxville, Deanna and Gene Peacock of Burlington, NC great-grandchildren, Olivia Henderlight, Lucas Sherrod, Madison and Mason Chandler, and T.J. and Brad Alton sister, Juanita Huffaker brother, Albert Rogers. The family wishes to express their appreciation to care partners and staff of Williamsburg Villas and Baptist Hospice. Funeral service 8 p.m. Saturday, Berry Chapel with Rev. Gene Wood officiating.
