Potter, James Hugh age 82 of Maryville passed away Friday, January 13, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Maryville Church of Christ for over 55 years. He was a longtime employee of Anderson Lumber Co. Preceded in death by: Wife, Amy Ruth Potter; Parents, James & Josie Potter; Brothers, Amos, Cecil, Buddy Potter; Grandson, Chris Brookshire. Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-law, Mark & Judy Potter of Louisville; Daughter and Son-in-law, Rebekah (Becky) & Tim Wells of Halls; Grandson, Aaron Ferry of Savannah, TN; Grandchildren, Sarah and Blair; Great-Grandson, Landon; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Ray & Mary Potter of Knoxville and Lynn & Betty Potter of Maryville; Sister, Edith Lawson of Maryville; Sister and Brother-in-law, Marie & John Burns of Maryville; Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Lois & Bud Coleman of Maryville, several nieces and nephews and many loving friends. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 16, 2006 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the graveside service and interment with Minister Dan Chambers and Brother Herb Byrd officiating. Memorial donations may be made to: Maryville Church of Christ, World English Institute Outreach Program, 611 Sherwood Drive, Maryville, TN 37801.
