(Died January 12, 2014) Mr. Douglas Ray Chambers age 47 of Crandall, passed away Sunday January 12, 2014 at his residence. Douglas enjoyed fishing and model cars. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Chambers, Robert Chambers, Deno Chambers; sister, Lisa Diane Chambers Lawrence, grandparents Minnie Belle & Robert Chambers and Rexie & Inez Breeden. Survivors include, sons, Bobby Chambers and D.J. Chambers; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Jeff Gordon, Kayla and Austin Kenney; parents, Charlotte and Jim Chambers; grandchildren J.J. Gordon and Brooklyn Fowler; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Chambers will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home in Chatsworth with Rev. Eddie Craig and Sister Gertrude Osborn officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairy Valley Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Douglas Chambers.
