James David Stokely, 68, of Newport, died at his home Thursday.
He was preceded in death by his parents, King and Irene Stokely and son, James Edward Stokely.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Lucille Stokely; children, daughters, Vera Presnell and Lisa Stokely; daughters and sons-in-law, Jannie and Larry Gurley and Jamie and Rodney Hance; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Mary Stokely, Jerry and Lorrie Stokely, and Jackie and Linda Messer; son, Arnold Stokely; brothers, Charles King Jr. and Ralph Stokely; sisters, Lucille Miller, Alice Goodin, Vera Myers, and Betty Brown, all of Newport; 19 grandchildren; and a host of friends and well loved neighbors.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Manes Funeral Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Manes Funeral Home is in charge.
