George was devoted to his family, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He will be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents; Lon Bert and Gladys Reece Cody; brother-in-law, Bill Russell; and daughter, Joyce O?Dell. Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Brenda J. Cody; children, Bonnie Cody, Billy (Teresa) Cody, Mike (Laura) Cody, Danny (Faye) Dockery, Brian (Carol) Dockery, Darlene (Mark) Thornburg, Ricky (Susie) Dockery;15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jean Russell, Donald (Brenda) Cody, Bobbie (Ray) Brennan, Carolyn Cody and Dale, Lynn (Stephine) Cody; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 8:00pm in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine with the Rev. Doug King and Rev. Ray Wiley officiating. Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family, friends and pallbearers are asked to meet at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge on Thursday, November 12, 2009, at 10:30am to go in procession to Hillcrest Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
