Price, age 84 of Sevierville, entered eternal life Saturday, June 30, 2007. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army/Air Force. She was an educator in Sevier County for 38 years serving as a school teacher and principal. After retirement, she continued to serve her community for more than 25 years through her charity work. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lennah Gantt, brothers, Augustus, Rufus, and Jack Gantt, sisters, Susie Gantt, Margie Trotter, Blanche Holley, and an infant sister, husband, Hanson T. Price, and grandson, James Ryan Price. Survivors: Daughter: Melba P. Case Son: James W. Price Granddaughters: Jennifer O’Rourke, Jocelyn Price 2 Great Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews Special friends: Bill Parton and Wilma Carter Funeral service 7:30 PM Monday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. W.W. Cope, Rev. Hudson Chesteen, and Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating. Interment 10 AM Tuesday in Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #104.
