McConkey, Rebecca Duncan, born July 19, 1948, age 65, of South Knoxville, passed away March 8, 2014 at her home. She was a Legal Secretary for Robert Leonard Attorney and Rebecca and her husband were previous owners of Knoxville Flight Training Center. She also worked at Cedar Springs Christian Bookstore. She was a member of Fellowship Church. Preceded in death by father, William Spencer Duncan; mother, Mildred Cleveland Duncan; husband, John Edward McConkey. She is survived by her brother, Philip Duncan and wife Toy; step nieces, Misty Combs and Ashley Elder; Niece, Jessica Duncan Walker and husband Trey Walker; Great Nephew, Spencer Brayden Walker; Nieces and Nephews, John and Eric Sharpe, Ashley Sharpe Watson and their beautiful families. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Avalon Hospice. Graveside service 2 PM Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Bob Dukes officiating. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. God blessed Becky with a beautiful voice which she used to sing for His Glory until her final days.
