LOY, EARL RUTHERFORD (In Loving Memory) - died at his home on Tuesday evening April 11, 2006 at 11:30 pm. He was born 12/29/1922 to a large family of brothers and sisters in Union County, TN. Earl was a WWII Veteran. He also was a very hard worker including 20 years at the State Hwy Dept. and 11 years at Kroger's Grocery. Earl was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in July of 1984 and held a congregation book study in his home. One of the things Earl enjoyed was baking. His specialty, lemon crumb cake, was enjoyed by many including the pioneer school and the book study. He also enjoyed working puzzles and playing cards with family. Earl was preceded in death by: children, Michael Loy, Janet Tinsley, Kimberly Loy and grandson, Cameron Vaughn. On June 17, 1968 Earl married Ruby D. and she survives along with: 4 children, Janice Rockwell, Earl R. Loy Jr, Melissa Loy, and Christopher Loy 7 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren 5 great great grandchildren sisters, Marie Loy and Wilma Jo Wilson. The memorial will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 110 Young High Pike in Knoxville on Saturday afternoon April 15 2006 at 4:00 pm. The family requests that instead of flowers, donations be made to: the World Wide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201-2483.
