Betty J. Williamson age 72, of Cosby, died Friday afternoon at the Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Smoky Mountain Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Artie Lee Maples, brothers and sisters Shirley Blair, Pauline Collette, Alice Lundy, Mary Ruth Tolliver, Fred Maples and Murl (Bud) Maples. She is survived by her husband James Williamson, children Angie and Wade Burgin, Pamela Hurst, Robin and Kevin Sumner, Doug and Melanie Hurst and Marty and Edna Hurst. Brothers and sisters J. T. and Ann Maples, Edna Tolliver, Myrna and Bruce Smith, Wayne and Becky Maples, also sevral nieces and nephews and special niece Ava Williams. Grand children Shannon & Mike, Derek B. Misti, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Isaac, Carl and Kaley, Frances, Bryna, B. J. Riley W. Great grandchildren Mikey, Rylee, Charlee, Lucas, Silas, Zhaiden, Mikayla, Gavin, Torsten, Derek W., Jasper, Waylon and Ryker. Funeral service will be 7 pm Monday at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Raymond Collins and Brother Steve Shults officiating. Family will receve friends from 5 – 7 pm prior to the service. Graveside service will be 11 am Tuesday at the Norris Cemetery with Rev. Junior Gorrell officiating. Pallbearers will be Lonnie, Leroy, Carl, Kevin, Mike, Mikey, Derek and Joe.
