Wears Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire at 1415 Little Cove Church Road at about 7:48 a.m., Chief Tony Patty said. "It was fully involved when we got there and it was starting to collapse," he said. It took firefighters about an hour to bring the blaze under control. No one was in the house when the fire started, and no one was injured fighting the blaze. The home belongs to Truman Myers, according to the phone directory. The cause of the blaze is unknown. The American Red Cross is providing lodging and new clothes for the victims; Patty said he understood Myers plans to rebuild at the same location as soon as possible.
