James Garfield Noland age 81 passed away peacefully at his home in Friendsville, TN, on Saturday, December 23, 2006. Mr. Noland was born April 5, 1925 in Sevierville, TN. He was retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company after 41 years of service. Mr. Noland accepted the Lord as his Savior as a youth and was a member of Marble Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Swope Noland; parents, Walter Lee and Minnie Isabelle Floyd Noland; brothers, Walter Yewell Noland and Willie Thomas Noland. Survived by sons and daughters in law, Danny Carson and Betty Noland of Sevierville, Dennis James and Bernice Noland of Greenback and Anthony Reed (Dickie) and Thelma Noland of Dalton, GA; daughter and son in law, Brenda Susan Noland and Cecil Yearwood of Friendsville; brother, John Albert Noland of Sevierville; sister, Lizzie Jane Noland Carver; grandchildren, Danny Carson Noland Jr., Mary Ann Noland Jones, Dennis James Noland Jr., Penny Diane McKee Abbott, Anthony Reed Noland Jr., Stacy Yearwood Reagan, Samantha Yearwood Simcox and Misty Yearwood Wheeler; great grandchildren, Ashley Noland, Justin Reagan, Shelby Reagan, Miranda Simcox and Christopher Noland; special friend, Mary Alice Cook of Friendsville. Funeral service 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. C.M. Titlow and Rev. Bill Ross officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Marble Hill Cemetery for the graveside and interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.www.millerfuneralhome.org
