Martha o. Rawlings age 100 passed away peacefully Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Sevier County Healthcare Center in Sevierville.
Martha was a lifelong resident of Gatlinburg. She was a member of Banner Baptist Church.
She and her husband owned Rawlings Cottages and Motel as well as Rush Cleaners.
After her retirement she spent many, happy moment’s traveling the world and now she is finally home.
She was a preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Rebecca Oakley; husband, Rush Rawlings; 7 brothers, 2 sisters and a great grandchild.
Survivors include sons and wives, John and Deborah Rawlings of Powell, TN; Jerry and Linda Rawlings of Gatlinburg, TN; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren; brother, Casey Oakley; sister-in-law, Melba Oakley and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Banner Baptist Church 209 Beech Branch Road Gatlinburg, TN. 37738 or Friends of The Smokie’s 107 Park Headquarters Gatlinburg, TN. 37738.
Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Ogle officiating.
Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens in Pigeon Forge, TN.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Rawlings on Tuesday prior to the service.
