A lifelong student of the history of the Smoky Mountains and its people, she was the author of books about the Smoky Mountain area: Dorie: Woman of the Mountains by the University of Tennessee Press; Ocona Lufta Baptist: Pioneer Church of the Smokies; and If Life Gives You Scraps, Make a Quilt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dora Woodruff Cope and Fredrick Cope; brothers, Paul Cope, Don Cope; and sister, Edith Fox. Survivors: Husband: Harvey C. Bush Daughter: Margaret (Maggie) Bush Brothers: Rev. Charles Cope, Rev. Dr. William Wayne Cope, Dwight Cope and Fredrick Cope Sisters: Wilma Williamson and Jeane Sexton Family and friends will meet 11 AM Saturday in Middle Creek Cemetery for graveside service and interment with Rev.
