Funeral services for John Tyrrel, 37, and his daughter, Amanda, 9, both of Halls, are scheduled today at 11 a.m. at Gentry-Griffey Chapel.
Amanda died Monday from injuries received in Sevier County when the car her father was driving collided with a van driven by a Sevierville man.
She was in the fourth grade and a member of the Talented and Gifted Program at Halls Elementary. She also was a student at the Fountain Head Conservatory of Music.
John Tyrrel died Tuesday from his wreck injuries. He was a mechanical engineer with the Tennessee Valley Authority and a graduate of the University of Illinois.
He and Amanda were members of Clapps Chapel United Methodist Church.
The family requests that memorial gifts be sent to the Halls Elementary School Library or the school's Talented and Gifted Program. Memorials for John Tyrrel may be sent to Clapps Chapel United Methodist Church.
