Lillian Kerr Gamble, age 93, of Maryville, was called home to heaven October 17, 2013. She was preceded in death by: Husband, J.E. Gamble; Parents, Otha & Allie Harris Kerr; Step-Mother Julia Clabough Madison Kerr; Brothers, Ray Madison, Virgil Kerr, Otha (Jack) Kerr, Jr, Quenton Kerr and Melvin Kerr. Survivors include: Brother, Carl Kerr of Kansas City, MO; Daughter by the Heart, Rebecca (Becky) Bean Gray & Husband Ronnie Gray; Special Granddaughters, Lily & Holly Gray; Special Friend, Betty Bean; Cousin, Lorene Smith and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Lillian was never able to birth children but throughout her lifetime she had many children that she spoiled, loved and enjoyed. She was always full of joy and ready to enjoy life. Lillian was an active member of Broadway Baptist Church where she taught Adult Sunday School and worked with the church library. When there was a special occasion at church, Lillian was always ready to write a poem to present to the honoree. She was always quoting little verses from her childhood years. She was an election worker for many years with the last several years at early voting. Blessed with a wonderful outgoing personality, she will be missed by a multitude of friends and family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Broadway Baptist Church Helping Hands Homebound Ministry, c/o Broadway Baptist Church, 2329 E. Broadway Avenue, Maryville, TN 37804. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jim Snyder officiating.
