Onalee Ryan Scalf (Cricket), age 96, of South Knoxville went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2015. She was an incredible and faithful wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. Onalee was a devout Christian whose passion was gardening, canning and quilting. Onalee was preceded in death by her husbands, Worley Ryan and Herb Scalf; son, Jack Ryan; three sisters and three brothers. Survived by her son, Norman (Vicki) Ryan; sister, Alma Stallion; niece, Sue Long and family; daughter-in-law, Ann Ryan and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Special thank you and blessing to Alma Stallion and Sue Long who took care of Onalee the last eight months. Appreciation also goes to Covenant Hospice employees, Faye and Raquel for their extra care. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2015 at Ball Camp Baptist Church, 2412 Ball Camp-Byington Road, Knoxville, Tennessee with Rev. Mike Vandergriff officiating. A private graveside service will follow at Asbury Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway with a reception to follow.
