GILES , JAMES RICHARD "RICKY" age 54, of New Tazewell, Tn. passed away on Nov. 9, 2011 following a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Patty Giles ; sons, Gordon and Nathan Giles ; daughter and son-in-law, Meghan Giles Tullis and Bear Tullis; mother, Maxine Cline Giles ; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Donnie Bryant; mother-in-law, Frances Patty; father-in-law, John H. Patty; brother and sister-in-law, John P. and Ellen Taylor Patty; sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca Patty Crutchfield and Michael G. Crutchfield and Jane Patty; several special nieces, nephews and cousins. Ricky was preceded in death by his father, James Denver Giles ; grandparents, R.O. and Pearl Giles and Elmer and Eva Cline. Ricky was an alumnus of East Tennessee University. He served as Vice President of Giles Industries until 2006, was president of R.O. Giles Enterprise and co-founder and president of Raja Stone. Ricky was a member of New Tazewell Jaycees and the Lions Club. He served as a Claiborne County Planning Commissioner and was a member of the Claiborne County Sanitation Board. He was an active member of the New Tazewell United Methodist Church where he served on the Administrative Council. The family will receive friends from 5-8PM Friday, Nov. 11,2011 at the New Tazewell United Methodist Church. A celebration of Ricky's life will be held at 11:00AM Sat., Nov. 12, 2011 at the New Tazewell United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Mattson and Rev. Ken Wier officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred England, Johnny P. Patty, David Stanifer, Bill Stanifer, John Thompson and David Raye.
