Rev. Rellie James Trentham, age 90, born May 18, 1917 passed away peacefully at his home in Pigeon Forge, TN. On January 29, 2008.
Rellie was born in Elkmont, Great Smoky Mountains, to the late Pharris and Peggy Trentham. Grandson of Levi and Emaline Trentham of Elkmont. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Lonnie, Cora, Roy, Homer, Bruce and Myrtle.
Rellie proudly served his country in the US Army, WWII Medical unit in 1942 and 1945.
He graduated Fruitland Bible College in 1952 and pastured churches in East TN. until 1989. Local Woodcraftsman for over 60 years and owner of Trentham Woodcraft’s in Pigeon Forge.
Survived by 5 children; Shirley Trentham Mounger, Peggy Trentham Booth and husband Guy, Randy Trentham, Kay Trentham Bell and husband, Steve, Sharon Trentham Carleton.
4 grandchildren, Robin Jackson and husband, Eric, Gretchen Bell McCabe and husband, James, Brandon James Mason and wife, Laura and Sloane Trentham.
5 Great grandchildren, Zacre Cross, Paige Cross, Sequoia McCabe, Mekah McCabe, and Marley Mason
Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Ogle and Rev. Bill Merritt officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2008 in Boyd’s Creek Cemetery with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 104.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Rawlings.
