James Albert Watson, 83, of Sevierville died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at his home.
He was a deacon and Sunday school superintendent for several years at Oldhams Creek Baptist Church.
His parents were James Robert and Viola Trentham Watson.
He is survived by his wife, Lula Gertrude Houser Watson; daughter and son-in-law, Abbie and James Bales; brothers, Oscar and J.B. Watson; and sister, Ita Blablock, all of Sevierville; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Rawlings Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Wilson officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m. Friday at Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
