TINDELL, JOHN. W., JR. - age 66, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center, St. Mary's. He was a loving husband, a great horse lover, friend to everyone, and he never met a stranger. He was proudly employed at White Store, IGA, Pay Cash, and the H.J. Hackney Company for 15 years. John loved the Kentucky Derby. He was a graduate of Central High School. Preceded in death by father, John Willard Tindell, Sr.; grandparents, A.E. and Edith Tindell, Arthur and Dellsa Culeell. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Sandra (Sandy Sweet) Tindell; mother, Lillin "Lousie" Tindell; Juanita Trotter, Lillin "Story" Trotter and husband, Jay, Paul E. and Judy Trotter, Janice (Trotter) Michael Privette, Artie and Brenda Caldwell; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Diane Sweet, Stella Blake, Jim and Mary Sweet, David and Joyce Sweet, Wanda Moore, Mike and Barbara Sweet, Lee and Ray Sexton, Josephine "Jody" Mason, Victoria Dockery, Brenda and Phil Burnett, Frances and John Witson; and lots of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to offer special thanks to the Cooks, (Michah), Pam and Teddy Caldwell, and John Emert. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010 at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Pastor Dennis Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Mason, Allen Mason, Ray Sexton, Bill Walker, Darren Taylor, and Dennis Medley. The family will receive friends Thursday 6 - 8 pm at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
