Donald Glandon, 66, of the Claxton community, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001, at his residence.
He was born in Anderson County on Jan. 1, 1935.
Mr. Glandon was a retired builder with Bill Lynn Construction Co. in Claxton, and he was a member of Valley View United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Gail Glandon of Clinton and Vickie Beets and her husband, Clyde, of Claxton; his grandchildren, Cori Beets and Tyler Beets, both of Claxton; his sisters, Evelyn Lindsay of Lake City, Maggie Doss of Maysville, Ga., and Gleneth Kirkham of Aurora, Colo.; his mother-in-law, Vesta Lamb of Claxton; and several nieces and nephews.
His wife, Geraldine Glandon, died earlier. Two other sisters, Dot Clotfelter and Ollie Lane, and his brothers, Charlie Glandon, Estel Glandon, Kelly Glandon, Raymond Glandon, Elmer Glandon and J.H. Glandon, also preceded him in death.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. The Rev. Perry Duncan will officiate.
Burial will follow at Woodhaven Memory Gardens in Claxton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Feb. 21, at the funeral home.
