He was a member of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include, wife, Minnie Grindstaff; son and daughter-in-law, R.L. and Gerry Grindstaff of Maryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita and John Barlow of Maryville, Laura and Don Abbott of Maryville; grandchildren, Scott and Angie Barlow, Gary and Hope Barlow, Jeff Grindstaff, Jenni and Ron Everett, Don and Joy Abbott, Amy and Rev. Raymond Burnette; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Duncan, Charlotte Rose both of Maryville. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2000 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Raymond Burnette officiating. Interment will follow service at Old Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
