McGINNIS , JACOB (JAKE) - age 92 of Blaine, passed away November 23. He was formerly from Powder Springs, and is a member of Powder Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He worked for Sinclair and Texaco Oil Companies for many years. He is preceded in death by wife, Edith Donehew McGinnis parents, William Tilden and Pearl Griffitt McGinnis daughter, Alba Reece McGinnis son, Charles Argil McGinnis granddaughter, Gina Shumate brothers, Dr. Perry McGinnis , Tilden McGinnis , Henry McGinnis nephew, Bruce Bullen sisters, Lucy McGinnis , Katie Clark, Sue Ivey, Waunitta McGinnis , Anna Glenn, Ruth Beeler and Florence Irwin. Survived by wife, Jennie Langley McGinnis daughter, Jean Campbell son, Jim McGinnis step daughters, Brenda Stone, Shirley Maples step sons, Jack Langley and Jerry Langley grandsons, Chuck McGinnis & Philip Campbell granddaughters, Shereece Troutman & Lisa Hodgson 6 great granddaughters 7 great grandsons 1 great-great grandson several step grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Funeral services 8 p.m. Friday November 25, 2005 at Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville, with burial 11 a.m. Saturday at Doyle Wayne Needham Cemetery. Rev. Earnest Green and Rev. Earnie Coleman officiating. Pallbearers: Jeff Stone, Tommy Langley, Gary Ston, Chuck McGinnis , Philip Campbell, John Troutman. Honorary pallbearers: Patty Wells, Maggie Musick, Gina Loy, Cindy Inman, Vicki Ruth, Lora Williams. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Cooke Funeral Home, Maynardville.
