Services: Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Jimmy Riner officiating.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Mortuary, Maryville.
Carnes, Lonnie O’Dell age 67 of Maryville passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, December 30, 2006. He was born in the Cold Springs Community on January 26, 1939, and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Lonnie enjoyed old cars and talking on the CB with his buddies. He was affectionately known to his CB friends by the handle” Sneaky Pete”. He will be terribly missed by his faithful miniature Schnauzer, Holly. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, James Leon Carnes, and recently his father, Charles T. Carnes. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Helen. He also leaves behind his beloved mother, Annalou Carnes of Maryville; beloved sons, James D. (Danny) Carnes of Farragut, Randall S. (Randy) Carnes and wife, Angie of Maryville; brother, J. R. Carnes and wife Carol of Maryville; granddaughter, Bethany Carnes of Maryville; mother-in-law, Martha Brown Anderson of Friendsville; nephew, David Carnes of Maryville; niece, Cheryl Daughtery of Louisville; several cousins and a host of friends. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Jimmy Riner officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the Entombment. Family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Mortuary, Maryville.
