He was born Sept. 21, 1939, in Wabash County to Kenneth "Barney and C. Audrey (Clark( Engelman. He married Georgia F. Proffitt on July 14, 1961, and she survives. Mr. Engelman was a retired joureyman carpenter of Local 615 and an avid woodworker. He was a member of the Dora Christian Church. He is also survived by a son, Roger U. Engelman, Wabash; a daughter, Faye E. Gray, Urbana; and two grandchildren, Natalie and Chelsea Gray, both of LaFontaine. A sister, Eleanor Harmon, also preceded him in death. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at McDonald Funeral Home, Eddingfield Chapel, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, with Pastor Dean Adkins officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, LaFontaine. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at the funeral home. Memorials are to Rainbow Christian Church Camp or the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
