Lois Watson Christopher, of Gatlinburg passed away on February 21, 2013. She was born on October 19, 1927 in Gatlinburg.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gatlinburg and long time former member of Central Baptist Church in Fountain City.
Lois loved children and, in return, children loved her. In her lifetime, she was involved in children's church activities, teaching in the primary department Sunday School, weekly Bible studies for "Sunbeams" and was a leader in girl scouts for many years.
In later years, after moving back to Gatlinburg, she was a successful business owner, with her husband, operating several shops in the local area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlie and Josephine Watson and her three brothers: Neal, Warren, and Grant and sister-in-law, Wanda.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Albert "Chris" Christopher and two children, Jo Ann Wilson and Karen Christopher. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Christopher Scott, Meryl DeBord, Sarah Lane, Maura Breeden and Hailey Jones, along with three great grandchildren. She is survived, as well, by two sisters-in-law, Peggy Watson and Ruby Watson.
The family wishes to thank UT Hospice services and especially Caroline, Florance, Lori, and Ron.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Gatlinburg, 111 Oglewood Lane, Gatlinburg, TN 37738.
