Mabel England White, left this world for her eternal home April 22, 2004. Born July 22, 1923 in Knox, County to Melvin and Lillie Mae McKeller England. An active member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She retired from Levi Strauss after 35 years of service. An avid seamstress, quilter, and gardener. Loved by all at Meadowood Apartments.
Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ransom John White; brothers, Robert England, Tom England, and Frank Green; sister, Dorothy England Powers; grandson, Greggory Dale Ellis.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ruth Ellis of Lexington, NC, Maggie (Richard) Crawford, Connie Buckner, Vivian (Larry) Cornwell, and Kylia (Thomas) Walker all of Maryville; grandsons, Geoffrey Ellis of Lexington, NC, Shannon Crawford and Tyler Padilla of Roy, WA, David and Matthew Buckner, Danny and Joey Cornwell, Johnathan Sawyer, Ranlan, Kelby and Caleb Crain of Maryville, James Walker of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughters, Sarah Crawford, and Clarissa Crain of Maryville, Amanda Cornwell of San Diego, CA, Bridget Cornwell of Cookeville, Bethany Walker of Athens, GA, and Kourtney Padilla of Roy, WA; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, and Jason Ellis of Bedford, VA, Steven Ellis of Lexington, NC, Cory Crawford of Roy WA, Dillan and Taylor Walker of Athens, GA, Alexis and Gracie Buckner of Maryville; brothers, Raymond and Fred England, Alvin and Cecil Green all of Maryville, Ray and Arlie Green of NC; a special cousin, Wilma Prince; numerous friends, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25 at Memorial Funeral Home to proceed to Shiloh Cemetery for interment at 4:00 p.m. Family will receive friends at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, April 24, 2004 between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 8:00 p.m. with Rev.
