Mr. Carl Rayfield, 72, of Roy Road, died Monday, May 15, 1995, in Myrtle Beach, S.C., while vacationing.
The funeral and burial will be in Edgewater, Fla.
Mr. Rayfield, a native of Sevier County, Tenn., had been a resident of Augusta for 12 years. He had retired from Coronado Paint Co., Edgewater, and owned the Edgewater Park Motel. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 62, Sanford, Fla., and Westside Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Eris Rayfield; three sons, William R. Rayfield, Winter Park, Fla., Carl A. Rayfield, Geneva, Fla., and Randy P. Rayfield, Lake Mary, Fla.; two daughters, Kathy Rayfield, Kingsport, Tenn., and Carol Ogle, Sevierville, Tenn.; his mother, Viola Maples Rayfield, Maryville, Tenn.; three stepsons, Ernest Kitchings and Les Kitchings, both of Augusta, and John Kitchings, Brunswick; a brother, Ted Rayfield, Maryville; a sister, Grace Gray, Huntington Beach, Calif.; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Dudley Funeral Home, Edgewater, is in charge of arrangements.
