Notes

Lon served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Germany. With his wife, they built and operated Rolen's Store in Jones Cove, Sevier County, Tennessee. The store, which had the first TV set in the Cove, became the community gathering place. For around eight years, Juanita operated the store alone while Lon worked full time for the Kyle Carver apple orchard and market.

Buried in the David Rolen Cemetery.
