Notes

Serving the Union Army during the Civil War, George Bradford Whaley enlisted 20 July 1863 in Company K, 11th Regiment, Tennessee Cavalry. He was discharged 30 April 1864 at Blaines Cross Roads, Grainger County, Tennessee. His personal description at that time was: 5' 5' in height, black hair, dark complexion, and black eyes.

Buried in Plemons Cemetery, Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
